Roland Kovacs

Senior Site Superintendent

Roland migrated to Canada in 1991 with his family where he was raised in Windsor Ontario. Roland joined the University of Windsor in their Mechanical Engineering Automotive program for product design. Roland’s father owned a General Contracting firm therefore his family background and roots are in construction. When his father was hired as a consultant in house for a retirement residence developer, Roland’s first job was naturally in construction. Roland was brought in under the wing of his father to start his first job and his eventual career in construction. He began as an Assistant Clerk onsite building retirement homes. Eventually, he was promoted to Finishing Super and Site Clerk working on 88 plus units still in midrise multi residential. The locations of the projects varied so Roland was accustomed to moving around Ontario for major projects. In 2011 Roland started his first Assistant Site Super position in High Rise. From there he was offered a position as a Site Super for another developer working on a challenging project where he learned the challenges of excavation, shoring, seismic footings and geothermal heating. After working for multiple well-known high-rise builders, Roland settled at Firstcon group. He is currently their Senior Site Superintendent overseeing multiple projects ranging from Mid to High Rise, sales centers, and in various degrees of construction. The highest tower Roland has completed to date is 29 floors. Along with this accomplishment Roland has completed Wood Stick frame structures and live bridge builds (in between towers). Roland enjoys working with Firstcon group as the current team is engaging and willing to take on new challenges. The team has synergy and actively communication on all projects.

Sabrina Lombardi

Project Manager

In 2005 Sabrina graduated from York University with a double major in Communication and Humanities. At the time she selected her Post Secondary path, she was unsure exactly what it was she wanted to do as a career. During school Sabrina picked up a summer job with Canderel working in Admin. In 2004, one of her peers moved to a Low Rise Developer and Sabrina followed her there. The Low Rise builder was family owned and flexible with Sabrina’s school schedule. She worked on her days off and weekends as a Customer Care representative on site. In her last year of school, Sabrina was working almost full time for the developer and gaining tremendous experience. After 7 years in Low Rise, Sabrina had climbed her way to Operations Manager. She then set her sights on new challenges in the world of high rise. Sabrina believes strongly in staying in touch and continual communication with past coworkers. In 2011 she reached back out to her contacts at Canderel who were ramping up their projects downtown Toronto for high rise multi residential. Reliance, the construction management firm for Canderel, offered Sabrina a position as Project Coordinator. With no experience in High Rise Sabrina set down her new career path in Project Management. In 2015 Sabrina took her first maternity leave to start her family. The challenges to balance motherhood and career growth were evident but Sabrina continued to push her career forward. Upon her return from maternity leave, she began looking for Project Management responsibilities. In 2017 she was made an offer from Firstcon to test her abilities as Assistant Project Manager. Today Sabrina is a Project Manager with Firstcon working on multiple projects. Firstcon allows her the opportunity to wear multiple hats and gain knowledge in various aspects of a project. Sabrina has been exposed to Development, pre-construction, construction and site works at various levels, commissioning and occupancy. At Firstcon they have given her the chance to take the next step in her career while embracing her next adventure in motherhood. Her maternity leave is set for summer 2019! Sabrina is looking forward to her continued success and support from Firstcon.
